X Square Robot Founder and CEO Wang Qian was invited to speak at the APEC High-Level Dialogue on Digital and AI Empowerment, held in Chengdu on July 24 as part of APEC Digital Week 2026.
The event brought together approximately 400 representatives from APEC economies, including government officials, business leaders, academic institutions, industry associations and international organizations. Discussions focused on using artificial intelligence to improve people’s well-being and accelerating digital transformation across industries.
As one of invited speakers from China, Wang delivered a keynote speech on the role of embodied AI in everyday life and industry. X Square Robot was the only embodied intelligence company from China invited to deliver a keynote at the dialogue.
Wang proposed closer cooperation among APEC economies in three areas. First, he called for greater access to real-world applications, including household services, elderly care, healthcare and logistics. Second, he encouraged open-source collaboration on data collection, safety standards and responsible AI governance. Third, he advocated partnerships with universities and research institutions to cultivate talent for the embodied AI industry.
Another milestone was the official release of the Case Collection of Digital and AI Empowerment in the Asia-Pacific Region. X Square Robot’s “Robots in the Home” initiative, developed in partnership with 58.com, was selected as a featured case.
Launched in Shenzhen in March, the initiative enables robots to work alongside professional cleaners on tasks such as cleaning and organizing. It has already served more than 1,000 households and expanded from Shenzhen to Beijing, with plans to enter more cities.
Beyond home services, X Square Robot has deployed robots on real-world logistics sorting lines. Its system can process more than 1,200 parcels per hour, maintain a recirculation rate below 3% and operate around the clock.
